dc.descriptionEl Hospital General de Medellín es una Entidad de naturaleza pública descentralizada del Municipio de Medellín, cuenta con un presupuesto autónomo para su funcionamiento, siendo además de tercer nivel de complejidad en atención en salud. Hoy en día como cualquier IPS de carácter público se ve enfrentada a los problemas de gestión de cartera por el apretado y exiguo pago de las aseguradoras a las cuales les presta sus servicios (un promedio de 210 días de recaudo) , con unos costos de operación altos en donde la sola mano de obra representa el 52% de los costos totales y que debido a recientes regulaciones estatales tendientes a dignificar la actividad laboral, ha llevado a que se vincule el personal que presta sus servicios en las mismas ,tornando en costo fijo lo que anteriormente era variable. De allí la importancia del presente trabajo que busca mediante el análisis cuantitativo desarrollado por el análisis de escenarios evaluar el impacto de los costos fijos y variables sobre las ventas y por ende las utilidades, buscando así identificar la mezcla optima que permita maximizar el uso de los recursos y por ende el de la utilidad, permitiendo a esta Entidad su supervivencia, sostenibilidad y así seguir prestando sus servicios a una población vulnerable y pobre, la cual constituye a hoy su mercado objetivo y su razón de ser.spa
dc.description.abstractThe Medellin General Hospital it's a decentralized entity of public nature from the Medellin city. It counts with an autonomous budget for it's operation, besides that the Medellin General Hospital health attention has a third level of complexity. Nowadays like any other IPS of public character the Medellin General Hospital confronted to the management portfolio problems because the tight and meager payments of the insurers to whom its provides its services (a collection average of 210 days), with a high operation costs where the labor represents 52% of the total costs and due to recent governmental regulations tending to dignify the laboral activity, has taken to the personal entailment that provides its services therein, turning in fix cost what it was variable before. Thence the importance of the present work that looks through the quantitative analysis developed by the analysis of scenarios evaluate the impact of fix and variable costs on sales and hence the utilities, trying to identify the optimum mixing that allows maximize the use of resources and at the same time the utility, allowing to this entity is't survival, sustainability and just like that to keep up with the service to a vulnerable and poor population, which constitute nowadays it's objective market and it's what we're all about.eng
