dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es evaluar la eficiencia en la prestación del servicio de transporte urbano por colectivo en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca, Argentina. Las estimaciones se realizaron mediante la aplicación del método de frontera estocástica a una función de producción con datos de panel para el período 2007-2014. Los resultados indican que el nivel medio de eficiencia no varió significativamente durante el período analizado. Asimismo, las transferencias monetarias y la concentración de líneas permitieron mantener la rentabilidad empresarial sin que ello se tradujera en ganancias de eficiencia. | spa |
dc.description.abstract | The objective of this article is to evaluate the efficiency in the urban transportation service in the city of Bahia Blanca, Argentina. The estimations where based on the stochastic border method applied to a production function with panel data for the 2007-2014 period. Results indicate that the average efficiency level didn´t vary significantly during the analyzed period. At the same time, monetary transfers and line concentration allowed to maintain the business profitability without this translating necessarily in efficiency gains. | eng |
