One of the fields where Internet of Things (IoT) has a great potential of application is in the health sector, where from the monitoring of physiological variables of interest, it is possible the identification and early diagnosis of diseases with silent symptoms from home. In this sense, based on the experience in the health sector in the management of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, it has been determined that the level of oxygen saturation and the heart rate are relevant variables in the early identification of the virus. In this paper we propose as a contribution the development of a system for the monitoring and analysis of the saturation level and heart rate, for the early diagnosis of COVID-19. The proposed system was built taking into account the conventional four-layer IoT architecture (capture, storage, analysis and visualization) and using a commercial oximeter. © 2021, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
