| dc.description | The generation of value from data is a topic of great interest for organizations, since its use and exploitation can generate process optimization, strategic decision making, new business models and new knowledge. However, research on the subject makes it difficult to know which the right way is to achieve it, and which are the challenges that still have. For this reason, a systematic review of the scientific literature about generating value from data was made in this work. This review found techniques such as data acquisition, group interviews and data value maps, among others that establish some key points to achieve this purpose, but still need to explore other paths. It was also found that concepts need to be homologated in order to have a shared language around the value of data. © 2021, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
