In Colombia, the Ministry of Education through the Law 30 of 1992 and Law 115 of 1994 in contribution to environmental issues, the environmental dimension intended to be involved in the educational processes of primary and secondary and higher education. This work aims for Analyzing cultural attitudes towards sustainable development and the environment in university students in the city of Manizales - Colombia, in order to know how social actors in a community influence the decision to participate in favor of the environment, how different cultural factors affect the attitude of the university towards the same, the factors influencing knowledge about environmental issues and the degree of participation and interest in solving these. © 2017.
