This article is a result of the research project Crónica latinoamericana actual: lo maravilloso real. Análisis del periodismo narrativo de Alberto Salcedo Ramos presented by the author for the degree of Doctor in Lenguajes y Manifestaciones Artísticas y Literarias at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and tries to show the role played by magazines in the vitality of the current Latin American chronicle.
