Partiendo de la hipótesis de que el Programa de Atención Humanitaria al Desmovilizado, implementado desde 2003 en el proceso de reinserción de excombatientes paramilitares en Colombia, es susceptible de ser analizado como una Política Social sui géneris, cuyo fin no es intervenir los procesos de distribución de la riqueza, sino que busca pacificar a la sociedad, este artículo analiza y describe el proceso de legitimación social del PAHD.Se busca señalar que la recepción social de los programas de reinserción de excomba­tientes es determinante en las características del posconflicto, pues a partir de esta se resuelven tensiones constitutivas como la integración social y la definición del monopo­lio de la violencia. La exposición reconstruye testimonios y argumentos que componen las formas de reconocimiento e impugnación al PAHDBased on the hypothesis that the Humani­tarian Assistance Program for the Demobi­lized, implemented since 2003 during the reinsertion process of former paramilitary combatants in Colombia, can be analyzed as a sui generis Social Policy which purpose is not to interfere with the richness distri­bution processes but to pacify society, this article is intended to analyze and describe the social legitimation process of the HAPD.  The article makes emphasis on the fact that social acceptance of the reinsertion programs for former combatants is decisive for the specific features of the post-conflict since social acceptance is the basis for solving tensions such as social integration and definition of the violence monopoly. The article reconstructs testimonies and arguments that comprise recognition and challenge of the HAPD.
