dc.description | El propósito de este capítulo es compartir los resultados del estudio de la producción científica registrada en las bases de datos Web of Science (WoS) y Scopus relacionada con la Teoría Administrativa (TA) y la Teoría Organizacional (TO) durante el período comprendido entre los años 2006 y 2016. La metodología utilizada fue el análisis bibliométrico mediante el cual se identificaron las tendencias más relevantes en los resultados de investigación divulgados en las principales revistas del área de conocimiento y un análisis de la producción académica de las principales universidades ubicadas en el QS World University Rankings 2015. Los resultados muestran una clara influencia de temáticas relacionadas con la economía, las finanzas, la estadística y la economía institucional, es decir, temas afines con la técnica y la búsqueda de la eficiencia empresarial. Así mismo, se observa una concentración en el número de publicaciones procedente de regiones tales como Oceanía, Asia y Norteamérica.
